Work History:
03.2009-02.2013: Research engineer in R&D center of Kyungwon E&C (Seongnam, Rep. Korea)
Main project:
- Development of numerical model for filtration and regeneration in metallic foam structure for diesel after-treatment system
- Prediction of droplet injection and evaporation characteristics with selective non-catalytic reduction (SnCR) in the boiler for steel manufacturing process
- Development 1D-plug-flow-model for catalytic reaction in automotive after-treatment system, such as diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), three-way catalyst (TWC), lean NOx trap (LNT) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR)
- Training and technical support for user of commercial software (CFD-ACE, CHEMKIN)
- Consulting open source program (OpenFOAM) to develop customizing solutions
Research Interests:
- Direct numerical simulation of hydrodynamics and mass transfer in Taylor flow
- Liquid phase catalytic reaction (nitrobenzene hydrogenation)
