Prof. Dr. O. Deutschmann
The research focus of the department is on reaction engineering, heterogeneous catalysis (energy-relevant and environmental catalysis), combustion, material synthesis by vapor phase deposition (carbon-based materials) and high-temperature fuel cells (SOFC). Methods used range from laser spectroscopy to numerical simulation and optimization of reactive flows. The research group of Prof. Dr. R. Suntz also belongs to the Chair of Chemical Engineering. Prof. Deutschmann is also director at the Institute for Catalysis Research and Technology at Campus North IKFT
